Four sections: Description of the Braemar Highlands - Earliest Traditions of Braemar - Rise of the Farquharsons - Rebellion of the '15 and '45. The last chapter follows the arrival of Balmoral as a Royal Residence. Bound in full calf prize binding with gilt coat of arms on front board and gilt design on spine with label. The book has been rebound (not recently) using the original boards and spine with the prize label preserved and pasted on the front pastedown. But ex Edinburgh reference libratry - with withdrawn stamp.Headbands and marbled eges. Clean and tight and little used. See scans. Very Good (as such)/No Jacket.
