JAMES DUNSTAN
The History of the Parish of Bromley St. Leonard, Middlesex with Historical Illustrations
Bow, Hunt & Son. 1862. Buckram, 180x110mm. Ex-Library, The Parish of Bromley St.Leonards now known as Bromley by Bow. John Dunstan was Vestry Clerk and he states that when he first became acquainted with the Parish it was not, as in many others where the inhabitants could point to the tombs of their forefathers, for there were few, very few, natives in the place. The consequence was that although he heard much of the great antiquity of the Parish, and its peculiar constitution there was no person who could give any account. This well researched and very scarce book is ex Poplar Library. 252pp with four steel engraved plates. Very Good.
