Pp.,xxiv,144, plus 64 pages adverts on blue paper. 5 maps, (4 of which are folding), and folding plan of Buxton. Index map on front paste-down. Many of the adverts have woodblock engravings of hotels, etc, often showing the scenic surroundings. Publishers red cloth boards, gilt titles on spine and cover. Both covers are with decoration in blind. Boards with rounded corners. All pages clean and free of markings or foxing. The advert pages with slight darkening at the margins. Very slight browning to free end papers. Age darken to edges of text block.Slight bleed of the red dye along the extreme lower edge of front end papers. Label of chemist, (owner ?), on front free end paper, and small bookseller label on rear paste-down. Solid binding. Some small marks on covers, spine darkened. Maps are clean and have no tears Book in near VG condition overall. In a collectable condition. We specialise in Travel, Topography, Atlases, and Maps
