This volume comprises lots 201-694 (antiquities, sculpture, garden statuary and urns and bronzes) and lots 1001-1923 (arms & armour, table clocks, caskets and table cabinets, metalwork and Limoges enamels). Aylesbury: G T de Fraine, 1897-1898. A bound hardback volume, containing most (but not all) of volumes 7 and 8 of the Records of Buckinghamshire, published in 1897-1898. 8vo, pp169-576, pp1-354. Plates (some folding). Bound in quarter burgundy morocco, burgundy cloth boards, gilt titling to the spine (the title reads: "Records of Bucks, High Wycombe items". Boards lightly rubbed, some inked annotations to the front free endpaper, else this book is in very good condition. A handwritten note loose in the book reads "from the library of L J Mayes of High Wycombe", but there is no provenance to support this statement. Mayes wrote the 1960 history of the town.
